It is hard to believe that the 2024-2025 boarding school admissions season is here! Just 4 months ago our clients were receiving their acceptance notifications to schools like Exeter, Andover, Choate, Deerfield, Lawrenceville, Taft, Loomis, Hotchkiss and similar top schools.
We are receiving email inquiries and phone calls from parents who are inquiring about retaining the services of an educational consultant for direct admissions to the ninth grade or for reapplication (because their child was rejected or waitlisted during the last admissions cycle). According to KISD Chief Financial Officer, Christopher Smith, KISD faces a projected budgetary shortfall of $13 million for fiscal year 2024-2025. This shortfall may affect budgetary cuts that could possibility affect: “(1) Modifying or phasing out school programs. (2) Teachers and staff. (3) Core student programs and services.”
Despite the fact that they are all excellent high schools, MANY parents contact Dr. Lowe because they mentioned that because of the size of the schools, school counselors are either unable to provide continuous weekly or biweekly individualized college and/or BS/MD admissions services to each student. Do U.S. medical schools ever accept international students? Yes! However, it’s not very common, thus it is hypercompetitive and difficult. Some U.S. medical schools accept and matriculate a small number of international applicants into their programs. Less than a third of U.S. medical schools accept international students. The credential requirements vary from school to school and some schools actually state that they prefer U.S. citizens.
