According to a recent Law School Admissions Council (LSAC) report, after years of plummeting enrollment over the value of a law degree, the number of people applying to law schools for fall 2018 entrance is up 12% compared with the same period a year earlier, and around 14% more applications have been submitted.
As of early December 2017, LSAC data also shows that 17,962 applicants sent in 104, 260 applications. Twenty-three law schools reported application increases of 40% or more.
As jobs across the legal profession are becoming more and more competitive and more students are applying to law schools, now, more than ever, gaining admission to a top law school is an important first step on the path toward a successful career as a lawyer.
